Agronauts was founded by people who are passionate about their island and it's people and committed to provide a tourism experience that contributes to the conservation of our island's beautiful natural resources as well as the socio-economic development and well being of local people. We believe that if us, the locals don’t protect our resources, no one will.

We have invested in agritourism and ecotourism and we will give you the chance to experience the magic of Rhodes in an unforgettable way and to see the difference between massive and alternative tourism.

As all members hold a degree in various fields such as Geography, Agronomy, Environment and Education we are experienced and motivated to offer an alternative escape guide.

Savvas Aggelou

I was born in Brussels and grew up in a small village in Rhodes.
I studied Geography in my second favourite island, Lesvos and have a great interest in geopolitics and demography. I have worked for 10 years as a geographer - cartographer and I have taken part in several municipal projects and state surveys.

For the last 6 years I have a license by the Greek Tourism Organisation to offer daily excursions in our island with special activities and experiences.
Through these excursions I try to offer my guests unforgettable days and convince them to come back for more days.

I am well aware that visitors seek to explore the beauty of a destination and make new friends there. Most tourist packages offer rather the “fast food” experience with no personal contact. I think that I can offer the services needed by a traveler rather than the typical tourist.
Beautiful experiences – activities, authentic food and smiles are the key to become a group of friends at the end of the day with my guests.

The love I have for my island and a passion to show people its beauty, as well as my need to communicate with people from all over the world, led me to a job perfectly suitable for me, which I enjoy doing everyday.

* For the past few years I am also making my own pickle, liqueurs and many other products from material I collect ftom the mountaints of our island

Fedra Pelekanos

" I go to nature to be soothed, healed and have my senses in order " John Burroughs

My name is Fedra . I’m a Greek Canadian born and raised in Montreal. In my twenty’s, full of adventure, I was drawn to the culture and climate of Rhodes, its nature and beauty and perhaps…. the love of my life.

With a desire to return to a natural method of healing I have engrossed myself in learning about my immediate environment and all of its healing properties. I love to walk through the environs of Asklipio and collect wild herbs and spices for various uses.

I am a curious, nature focused and optimistic person who loves to connect with others. My choice to work in agro tourism gives me the opportunity to combine my love of nature with meeting new people. I can think of no better way to spend my time out in nature, eating, drinking and chatting about all the amazing things this island has to offer.

Christina & Antonis

We were both born and grew up at the beautiful village of Kritinia, in west coast. Along the way, Antonis lived and worked in the city of Rhodes and Christina left the island to study Agronomist. After a few years of wandering away from our village, we met again and we made a beautiful family with two children, Giannis and Katerina.

The decision to return to our roots and cultivate the land of our ancestors made our life more beautiful and creative ! We left life in the city and returned to our village to offer our children a more peaceful life, close to nature. We grow a wide variety of fruit and vegetables and make our own products – jams, sweets, pickles and much more

Achilleas Charalambous

“ Look up and out and take in the horizon, take a deep breath and experience the serenity of the sea “

Join me in discovering the fascinating underwater world, with it’s healing properties and infinite curiosities. Thalassotherapy strengthens the immune system, reduces anxiety as well as depressive symptoms and cleanses vital organs. The sea contains large quantities of valuable minerals such as phosphorite, sulphur, manganese and sulphide nodules some of which are scarce in land based form. I have spent all my life by the sea and pursued physical education with a specialization in swimming. Come spend some time snorkeling and exercising while enjoying tranquility, fresh food and great company. Above all else let me me offer you the experience of this part of the island, a place I cherish and would love to share.

Agnee Karavolia

I was born in Scotland and was brought up in the island of Rhodes. Growing up , I was always interested in being the healthiest version of my self. I was always very interested in the human body’s mechanics and structure , so i can get a better understanding of the way it functions. Soon after I turned 18 I left my beloved island to study Physiotherapy which i found was a combination of a non medicinal and natural way to heal a body, combined with plenty of information about how was made. And I loved it.

After finishing my studies, I traveled quite a bit , only to discover a whole new level of curiosity I have in me. I was fascinated with all the different cultures, and all the variety of knowledge and understanding each of them have about the world. All these points of views! So many personalities, extraordinary pieces of art, countless new tastes for my palette, mindsets which i had never imagined of before. A blizzard world which has only drawn me to dive deeper into living.

When i was invited to be part of this team, i almost immediately said yes! Sharing my love for my island, our way of living and everything I know about the simple way of just being in a magnificent land like Rhodes, the same time when I will be meeting people from all around the world, having the opportunity to discuss about their experiences while enjoying nature and all her colors?? Sounds like a dream summer for me!
